Gravidade Zero c/ Azelpds #65

Wow- what a tracklist! Collide, Trentmoller, Lamb-- no one can say you are stuck in any one genre-- and as for the closer "Birdie" --I had never heard this Pink Dots song-- it's quite good.
Just yesterday I put "Black Castles" on a compilation and now, after seeing your latest mix, you have me all excited to listen to more Ka-Spel! I didn't listen to them until recent years and have a lot of catching up to do : )
Looks like this weekend may be a Pink Dots binge LOL...
Nuno, you are consistently awesome : )

Thx so much for the words and feedback again. :)

I guess the "no one can say you are stuck in any one genre" can be one of the problems i face when trying to show the owners of places for djing, and some other people too, what moves you and what's your idea. ;)

Regarding Legendary Pink Dots, i got 'Birdie' from a compilation recommended by the girl who was selling their merchandise on a concert i went to see by them with Skinny Puppy in Amsterdam. It was quite the evening and loved that cd when i arrived again in Portugal and one by Ka_spell that was recommended too.

Lately i think i'm on a LPD thing too and i love the album where 'Black Castles' is. You probably know them, but the project that joins LPD and Skinny Puppy members, called The Tear Garden, is one of my favourite bands. :)

Thx so much again, i always smile when i see your words and how you feel about these experiences and sharing :)

I like the Tear Garden, too-- but back in the 90s I was probably listening to Download too much to get into Key's other projects...
Download led me to DVOA and Psychic TV, of course- also very interesting sounds!
As for LPD-- they got very little exposure here in the States. We learned everything from MTV 120 Minutes-- which pushed a lot of pop/junk/alternative-- not much substance!
I'm grateful to listen to them now and it all sounds very new : )

Ah, Download, love them too. Funny thing, many of their records, even if i bought them when they were released, only now, 10 years later, seem that you can play them on dj nights with people enjoying the sound. A true case of visionary artists. :)

Doubting Thomas seem to be another of those projects of them that you feel it's even better now :)

I remember that show, 120 minutes, i guess it was a time when MTV was decent and you had that one, alternative nation and others. I think LPD can be always new and it really depends on your mood, not an easy sound and music to listen everytime :)
